04.14.12-04.15.12
On Wednesday night we were invited to fill in to give two talks in the Caribbean side. It is about a 3:30-4:00 hour drive and extremely gorgeous along the way. As this was a last minute trip, we weren't able to arrange to stay longer; next time we definitely will make an extended weekend out of it.

We left Saturday morning a little after 10:00am. First on the agenda was to unload our bags at a brother's house. Alex and his wife Crisia own a home and a guest-house in the back that Dan rents out. Dan allowed us to spend the night there. We unloaded and freshened up for the meeting at 4:00pm.

Following the meeting, Alex invited us for hospitality at his place. The food was delicious and the company was very encouraging. After a long day, it was time to get some much needed sleep.

What is a trip to the Caribbean, without going to the beach... But when were we going to fit in a few minutes to go? 6:00am! We woke up around 5:30am, got dressed and headed off to the beach, ten minutes away. We were also able to do our Bible Reading on the beach. What a great way to wake up!

Next, we went back home, showered and got ready for meeting. While I was getting ready, I stuck my hand in my toiletry bag and it came out bloody; I cut myself on my razor! Missy helped me clean it and wrap it up, but this took a bite into our time for breakfast. Alex had, again, invited us to his place for a meal. Crisia had made a delicious breakfast and the coffee was to die for. With our tummies full, we headed off to Limon, 45 minutes north.

The Limon congregation's meeting started at 10:00 am. I normally mention in this particular talk that there are 4 questions we will answer; this time there was 5, "What happened to my thumb?" Everyone laughed as I explained what happened. To me, it felt like it was the elephant in the room.

Following the meeting a group of friends took us down the street to enjoy our first experience with Jamaican food. The Jerk Chicken we each had was DELICIOUS! We will definitely hit this place up again next time we are in town. Jamon, the young brother in blue in the picture, did the roving mics at the Kingdom Hall. Missy wanted to take a picture as she thought it was so cute. It's very encouraging to see young brothers reaching out!

After lunch, we drove down the street to get a few pictures of the beach. How gorgeous. We can't wait to drive back to the Caribbean and spend more time with the friends and at the beach.
