It has been a truly amazing experience to see Jehovah's hand involved in our move here to Cartago. We specifically prayed that everything work out easy and smoothly and He has not left us disappointed. We arrived to a furnished home due to an arrangement we worked out when we visited last time. The only thing left outstanding was a car. We rented a car for two weeks once we arrived, giving us two weeks to find one. After the Memorial, we began our search.

Everyone here in our English group is so helpful. They are extremely willing and eager to share their experiences and assist you in the transition. While out in service, Brent (a brother in our hall) pointed out a few dealerships that he knew were reputable, including the dealership where he bought their car. The salesman there is a brother in the Spanish congregation. We looked around and were leaning towards a Honda CRV. We test drove it and it checked out fine. The next day when we went back to look at it some more, he also showed us a Geo Tracker (made by Suzuki, not Chevy.) We fell in love. We had our lawyer (a sister in the group) check out the car, which came back with a clean title. We had our mechanic come and he gave it his "thumbs-up."
On Monday, April 16th, we signed the contract and drove our "new" car home. :-)
I am so happy to read/hear that everything is working out for the two of you. May Jehovah continue to bless your efforts!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Jehovah is blessing you for putting his kingdom first. Love you guys! Please keep sharing all your encouraging stories! :-)
ReplyDeleteNice! Such a blessing :-) I'm curious though: what made you fall in love with the Geo Tracker?
ReplyDelete@EM: It is a car that looks like it belongs here. It was super clean inside, which is a contrast to most cars you buy here. Being that it was made by Suzuki helped too as parts for them are in abundance. The Honda CRV we looked at would have been more expensive to have repairs done on it. The Tracker was within our budget and all indications seemed to indicate Jehovah's blessing...
Deletesounds great! Thanks for the extra details ;-)
