| At the airport with all of our bags |
We begin this blog with the beginning of our new adventures in Central America. It was a beautiful Tuesday morning. We boarded the plane in LAX and were off to Costa Rica with a slight layover in Dallas, TX. That layover ended up not being so slight. Because of the swirling tornadoes, our flight was diverted to San Antonio, TX. We sat on the runway for over an hour before finally getting to the gate. It was strongly presumed that we would be stuck spending the night there. An hour later we were notified that we were being sent to Dallas. Once there, we boarded the plane to Costa Rica and arrived in San Jose at 11pm that night and were in our hotel room by 12am; only 3 hours later than anticipated.

The next morning we ate breakfast at the hotel and received our rental car. We took off to our new home and we LOVE IT! After Missy rearranged a few items and unpacked our bags, we went to a few stores to run errands. What a delightful surprise to run into some friends from the congregation at a restaurant. They caught us up on some of the latest happenings.

After taking two days off of work, it was time to catch up. Missy continued to make our house feel like our own home; and it has "Missy style" all over it. We were very excited that our first meeting back was the memorial. We are happy to say that our English group had 84 in attendance with several families going to other congregations to deliver the talk there. While we were here in November, 2011, Missy started a study with a girl in her early 20's. She handed her over to a pioneer in the hall who has been studying with her ever since and is making great progress. She made it to memorial and sat with us. Missy was able to study with her on Saturday since the pioneer sister was in Panama. Do you remember my study Fabian? We met him on our first day at the first door last time. He has continued his study and is coming to the meetings regularly. He came to the memorial and special talk and was delighted to see us. We look forward to the new experiences and adventures that are in store for us in our new home: Cartago.
Note: We endeavor to use this blog to keep our family and friends updated to our experience here in Costa Rica. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
Love,
Bry & Mis
